This two-day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider for three years. Course numbers are limited to ensure that you can be safe and supported whilst you learn. Permission is required from Parents/Carers if the delegate is under the age of 16.
Learning takes place in four manageable sessions through a mixture of group activities, presentations and discussions. Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan, accompanied by a comprehensive set of resources inside your own personal manual.
Course numbers are limited to ensure that you can be safe and supported whilst you learn.
Learning Outcomes:
- Recognise those that may be experiencing decreased mental health
- Be confident to provide early support and intervention
- Encourage access to professional help and other supports
- Practice active and empathetic listening
- Know and understand the MHFA role, boundaries and confidentiality
- Know and understand the importance of and practice self-care
- Be able to use the MHFAider Support App
- Be able to access the Shout and online learning hub opportunities
Course Costs
- £325 per person
- £2250 per group (10 maximum)
- £2700 per group (11-16)
