Suicide First Aid Lite

This 3.5 hour SFA accredited course is aims to provide all people with both confidence and skills to open and have a conversation with someone who may be thinking of suicide. Course numbers are limited to 16 to ensure that you can be safe and supported whilst you learn. The minimum age to complete the course is 16.
Learning takes place in two manageable sessions through a mixture of group activities, presentations and discussions. The course is accompanied by course workbook.
Course Content:
- Stigma & the hidden toll of Suicide
- Suicide thoughts and Suicide behaviours
- Intention vs outcome of behaviour
- Possible causes of suicide thoughts
- The ripple effect of Suicide behaviours
- Meeting the needs of a person with thoughts
- Safety around Suicide
- Recognising and asking about Suicide
- Referring a person to Suicide First Aiders
Course Costs
- £100 per person
- £600 per group (10 maximum)
- £750 per group (11-16)
